A General Look at Alchemy Part 2
Physical Alchemy
Transmutation of one substance into another such as base metals into gold, water into wine, etc., is the physical aspect of alchemy. It is often referred to as the "Greater Circulation." Much charlatanry and quackery became involved with this aspect and many people were cheated by rascals who claimed that they had in their possession the Philosopher's Stone that could effect a transmutation of base metals into gold. Human greed knows no bounds; the poor wishes to be wealthy, the rich aims to be wealthier, and with all their efforts, whether successful or not, sorrow and suffering is the karmic result.
Aspirants of the Ancient Wisdom are taught that the world of form is transient and that one's happiness should not be based upon something that is illusory. Illusions do not last and they are not eternal. They bind man to a false sense of human limitation. They enslave man to matter by seducing him to indulge in things that hampers the development of the soul. Truth and the Real are that which is eternal and they are to be found in the "kingdom of God" within us. Unfortunately, most Christians overlook this one of the most important injunctions of the Nazarene Master. The ancient precepts advises us further that the less earthly desires one has, the richer one truly becomes.
The "Lesser Circulation" of the herbal family is also included in this category of Physical Alchemy. The main object of this work is the search for a universal panacea that would cure the ills and sufferings of humanity. This is quite a noble desire should the lucrative aspect and profit motive be absent; it would exemplify the Bodhisattva ideal.
In contemporary times, there are many of those who have claimed to have accomplished a successful transmutation in their laboratories, even teaching the secrets of the art to their ardent followers.
Biological Alchemy
When alchemists realized that they were advancing in age and were no closer to the goal of physical transmutation, they sought a way to stall the process of old age, to regenerate the body, and even to acquire a degree of physical immortality and biological immunity to diseases that humankind is so prone.
With such an object in view, they commenced their search for an "Elixir of Life" that would prolong their physical existence. At the very onset, the search took them to the field of herbalism, for many plants were believed to possess the traditional virtues of the fabled "Fountain of Youth." The Hindu mystics attribute such qualities to the "Soma" creeper. The Chinese Taoists declare that a certain mushroom that they call "lung chih" has the virtue of regenerating the physical body. The Egyptian god Thoth is also said to have described a life-giving mushroom which conferred immortality.
At a later period, however, the discovery was made that the real Elixir lied within man himself, and it had to be manufactured via psycho-biological means. Briefly, this is the work to be undertaken at the biological level.
Psychological Alchemy
Psychological, or "Mental Alchemy," is the science of the development of the Mind. Of the four lower bodies, the mental sheath is the only one unstructured, as yet, into an organized body--that is, in most people. In the course of evolution, the mental body will be constituted and coordinated so as to allow the Ego, and the waking consciousness, to function fully in the mental realm. The "Secret Doctrine" of H.P.Blavatsky tells us that in the Fifth Round the mental body is expected to be fully developed. Mental Alchemy accelerates the evolution of the Mind. It permits its practitioner to acquire in the Fourth Round what Nature intends humankind to attain in the next with her somewhat languid process. Mental development entails the development and the refinement of the following abilities, qualities, and faculties:
1) A universal attitude and perspective
2) Imagination
3) Concentration
4) The ability to reason inductively, deductively, syllogistically, analytically, analogically, etc.
5) Mental quietude
6) Abstract thinking
7) Divine thinking
8) Mental receptivity
9) Visualization
10) Discrimination (Viveka)
11) Detachment (Vairagya)
12) Meditation
13) Mental creation Etc.
Before quick progress can be made in developing the above faculties, the mind has to be purged of all the phobias, neurosis, and psychosis that are infecting it; even the guilts, resentments, and sinful feelings torturing one's consciousness. The aspirant is advised to forgive--forgive self and forgive others. The steps of conviction, contrition, confession, consecration, and communion should be adhered to when one desires spiritual unfoldment.
One of the other steps to be taken is the unification of the male and female aspects of the psyche. Psychoanalysis, however, has only touched the outer fringes of the mind with its inner probings.
Mental Alchemy, like the previous categories, is not considered the ultimate goal of Alchemy. They are but stepping stones leading to Transcendental Alchemy. More on Mental Alchemy and the general laws governing transmutation may be read in the Kybalion written by anonymous initiate-writers.
Transcendental Alchemy
All things in their natural unregenerated state are considered dead by alchemists. Man in his natural state is in a state of death. Master Jesus voiced this precept when he declared, "let the dead bury the dead." Transcendental Alchemy raises Man from the "State of Nature, to a State of Grace." The process reunites the sadhaka, the disciple, to the Atma, and later to the Monad in full awareness. This is the "unio mystica" sought fervently by mystics of all Ages. When Man unites with the totality of Life, he factually unites himself with God, for Life and God are synonymous.
Unity with "Tao," Lao Tse's mystic term for the Absolute, results in the realization of one's true Identity and Reality. The individual who is united with the Absolute is a Jivanmukta, a freed being--freed from ignorance, maya, and mortality; human consciousness expands and embraces Cosmic Consciousness in this unified state. Figuratively, the Drop returns to the Ocean, and the Spark to the Flame, and Man's essential divine nature shines forth with the splendour of the Sun. This is the destiny of Man--to advance into the Kingdom of God and be all that God wants him to be.
There are various systems of spiritual unfoldment catered to the basically, seven different temperaments of Man, that leads him to his ultimate goal. Transcendental Alchemy is one of these sublime systems. It is essentially yogic in nature. Meditation, concentration, and contemplation are stressed and the work of the previous levels of transmutation are conducive to its successful outcome.
Symbols of Alchemy
Since ancient times symbols have been used to describe something that words were not adequate enough to express. The intellect has its limitations in comprehending spiritual verities. Intuitively, Man feels that the forces of nature are intelligently directed. How and why, his human mind is unable to explain. Cosmic principles, though inadequately described verbally by prophets of God, finds its inculcation upon the human mind expressively through symbols and signs.
Symbols are not restrictive, nor exclusive. Minds interpret symbols according to the level of their mental and spiritual development. The child-mind interprets a symbol in one way, while the transcendental mind would interpret it in another.
Most symbols are taken from Nature; others invented by Man, usually take on the form of combined geometric elements. Examples of the former are: the snake, which symbolizes regeneration; the scarabeaus--immortality; mountains--obstacles, etc. Examples of the latter: the Martinist pentacle--the unity of Man and Omneity; the Egyptian ankh--Life and Immortality; the circle--eternity.
Symbols have a certain usefulness in transforming the mind. Whatever man thinks upon, that he becomes. By meditating on symbols, or images representing power, love, holiness, and compassion, for example, through mental induction man unfolds such qualities within his nature.
Personally developed symbols are sometimes used as media for communicative exchange between the waking consciousness and the subconscious mind. This is effected by ascribing a certain attribute to a, preferably, invented symbol by repetitious thought and contemplation upon it. For example, the waking mind may ascribe to lightning as a symbol the meaning of danger by constant focus and suggestion upon it until it is absorbed by the subconscious mind. At a later date, when real danger is present, an intuitive impression with the lightning symbol would flash through from the subconscious to the waking mind, thus warning the individual. This method is also applicable to enrich and enlarge upon symbolic dream content and to induce the subconscious to utilize the newly absorbed symbols which are non-mystifying to the waking-consciousness.
Alchemy is very rich in symbolism. The Royal Art itself is sometimes represented by the Pelican and the Phoenix bird. The latter was invented by mystics in Alexandria during its heyday; the former, by a group of Knights Templer in the British Isles.
Alchemical symbols of past ages were designed to reveal, as well as to conceal; to stimulate the mind to awaken from its intellectual-complacency. Alchemical mandalas describe processes of transmutation. Truths, laws, and principles, which are pertinent to an aspirant's spiritual unfoldment, are similarly depicted within mandalas. Such truths were obscured by vague language and inexplicable diagrams for protection from persecution, because truths, for some reason, were, and still are, considered heretical by Christian orthodoxy. In accord with this dire situation, alchemical symbols, as an expedient, took on Christian coloration.
Let us examine the following common alchemical symbols:
1) The Hermaphrodite
2) Dragons
3) The Caduceus
The Hermaphrodite
Modern psychology has discovered that the human psyche possesses both masculine and feminine qualities. The male and female polarities are present no matter what our biological gender. One polarity in the human psyche is, however, usually repressed to the background in the Id, the subconsciousness, to the detriment of the psychological equilibrium and stability of the waking consciousness.
There are hierarchies of development and transformation of both male and female qualities evolving within the psyche. The "lowest" rung of the female hierarchy is the "Harlot," later transfiguring into the "Virgin" of the succeeding rung, and on to the High Priestess" and the "Empress" of the higher stages. The masculine side has its transformation from "Barbarian," to "Knight," "Hierophant," and "Emperor."
The Hermaphrodite symbolically represents the ideal anima and animus in symbiotic conjunction; the highest aspect of the male and female qualities in perfect balance and unity within the psyche. This is the state of unity that every man and woman unconsciously seeks in an external partner. The search for wholeness should really take place within. Man's union with Omneity is preceded by man's union with his alter ego within his waking consciousness.
Any individual with such a coordinated psyche functions balancely and creatively in society. An aura of holiness enfolds the person; the world knows the person as a compassionate, wise, and powerful being. He, or she, is the "twice-born."
Esoteric tradition teaches that in a future Root Race individuals will be hermaphrodites. Aside from having an androgynous psyche, man would biologically possess two spinal columns with the cerebra-spinal and autonomic nervous system functioning in a closer relationship. Individuals who are capable of controlling autonomic functions such as the heart beat, is a certain indication of where the biological and physiological aspects of man are evolving.
Dragons
There are many myths and legends concerning heroes slaying dragons that are to be found in the mythology of various cultures. We hear in Greek myth of Apollo vanquishing Python; Siegfried, St. George, Krishna, Hermes, and many other heroic figures have also had their dragons to slay. There are basically two species of dragons to be found in alchemical mythos: the celestial, and the terrestrial dragon. The latter dragon is sometimes called "the red dragon."
What do dragons represent? Dragons are symbols of raw energy within the psycho-biological organism of man. The terrestrial dragon in the microcosm, is the kundalini fire nesting in the kanda. In the average person, this energy is used mainly in sexual gratification and indulgence in sensual activities. Slaying the dragon symbolizes the tapping of this energy for higher uses of the Ego. The student-hero utilizes the sword, symbolic of the will, to overcome the beast within, does so by directing the kundalini fire upwards toward the brain centers via the channel called sushumna--stimulating creativity of a higher order as a result. Illumination is the consequence of the internal marriage that takes place between the negative kundalini force and the higher positive Christic force, symbolised by the celestial dragon, within the Holy of Holies of the sanctum within the cranium. In a symbolical sense, the hero is smeared by dragon's blood making him immortal. The resurrected Kundalini is sometimes represented by the Phoenix bird.
The individual who has his kundalini raised permanently and hissing through the Third Eye, is honorably called a "Naga," a Hindu mystic term for "dragon," or "serpent." With the experience of illumination, the Naga realizes the oneness and unity of life. The Naga is known for his wisdom in his words, action, and behavior. Master Jesus is presumed to have praised the enlightened Nagas by exhorting his followers to be "as wise as a serpent . . ." Dragons, occasionally, represent the unresolved and repressed energies to be found in the psyche--the "monsters of the id"--such as phobias, neurosis, guilt feelings, and the like.
From the geo-terrestrial angle, dragons represent certain currents of magnetic energy found in certain parts of the earth's terrain. They could perhaps be called "chakras of the planet." They also correspond to accupressure points in the body of man. Ley lines are, likewise, associated with geo-terrestrial dragons. The Knights Templers had certain knowledge in this regard--they knew how to determine the locations of magnetically-charged regions. Such hallowed grounds were chosen as sites for cathedrals, chapels, and temples. Dragons are sometimes associated with the body, soul, and spirit of Man.
The Caduceus
Mystic gurus, when instructing disciples, sometimes adopt teaching devices to train their chelas. The Caduceus is one such device. It represents the major nadis, or subtle nervous system to be found in man's occult anatomy.
The Caduceus, or staff of Mercury, is composed of a rod with two snakes intertwined around the rod. The rod represents sushumna, an etheric counterpart of the spinal cord. Within the sushumna there are other subtle nerves, channels of refine energy; they are called by yogis "Vajrini," "Chitrini," and "Brahman." The sushumna extends upwards and outwards into the Overself as the "Sutratma." Pingala and Ida are the two nadis depicted by the snakes. The junctions where the snakes and rod meet are symbolic of the major chakras. Vagabond yogis sometimes carry bamboo staffs with seven knots on it to represent sushumna and the chakras.
Atop of the caduceus rod is a knob; a vine creeper is sometimes attached to this knot ending somewhere midway at the staff. The protuberance represents the medulla oblongata with the vagus nerve, the creeper, connected to it. The vagus nerve ends in the thoracic region. Each of these components plays an important role in man's mystic development. They serve various spiritual functions.
Occasionally, a pair of wings are to be found appended to each side of the knob or rod. This indicates that the kundalini energy at the base of the sushumna had been raised and resurrected. Angelic wings symbolize a superior degree of consciousness and mind.
As a whole, the caduceus symbolizes regeneration and enlightenment. It further depicts the attunement of the mind of man with the Cosmic Mind.
In bygone days, in the Mystery Schools, only the adepts and those of a higher standing were worthy enough to hold such a symbolic staff in their hands. Sometimes the caduceus, or versions of it, were magnetized with odic energy and Atmic force. The Thyrsus held in the hands of hierophants of the Eleusian Mystery School was one rod with such a divine quality impregnated into it. It was primarily designed to stimulate the kundalini fire of the disciples and initiates when their gurus deemed it necessary and appropriate at certain stages of their spiritual growth. The act of impregnating a mystical or religious object with divine influences is called "consecration," or "magnetization."
Some occultists interpret the caduceus as representing the Universal Magickal Agent. This magickal force is used abundantly in theurgic and thaumaturgic operations. Egyptian hierophants were adepts in the application of this force. The laws and principles involved in controlling the agent were transmitted under oath of secrecy to seekers of Light. Appolonius, Pythagoras, and Moses are names that come to mind when considering the display of so-called miracles. These eminent individuals were all initiates of the Mystery schools in the Land of Khem.
Nowadays, the Caduceus is an emblem employed by the medical profession. Only in recent years is this branch of science discovering the subtle energies with which this emblem is silently pointing.
Themes of Alchemy
Alchemy, no matter what its level of application, is essentially psychic in nature. All of the laboratory processes described by alchemists takes place mainly in man's consciousness. Consciousness is the key to transmutation. God-Consciousness is the secret of the royal Art. Functioning in higher dimensions, the conscious mind in unison with higher levels of consciousness, creates forms of perfection in higher realms, in archetypal worlds. The consciousness operating therein coalesces the necessary electronic particles to bring about a manifestation in the physical world. Consciousness, when in the borderline state, easily experiences and produces psychic manifestations.
The Mind is the creator and director of the dynamism and kinetics of subatomic particles. Out of Cosmic Root Substance, or Prima Materia, the Cosmic Mind and Intelligence fashioned the entire universe. Man, being the reflection of the macrocosm, is able to use the same Mind to manifest his designs. Patterns of perfection held constantly in mind becomes living archetypes which stimulates its creator to work spiritually upon his redemption and salvation from bondage to human mortality. We become what we think. Thoughts are living energy, and it is the proper directing of those thoughts by the will that effects transmutation or precipitation. It is declared that thoughts of a divine nature give rise to the vibrations of a Master Soul. Thoughts influence us holistically. Our nerve substances, composition of the blood, auric energies and radiations, are all affected by the state of our mind, by the thoughts that we dwell on a day to day basis.
Every organism is an embryo of a higher development and expression. Nature is constantly striving to produce perfection. Alchemists believe that it is Man's prerogative to speed up the processes of nature to quickly attain perfection. This spiritual labor is conducted in the laboratory of the soul.
From the Absolute's point of view, we may speculate that everything is perfect, for "everything" does not truthfully exist--everything is his being. All is God in his omnipresence. God is Immanent and Transcendent. Perfection is a divine quality ever present within Nature and Man. This innate divinity is stressed by spiritual gurus. The "know ye not that ye are gods" precept is emphasized repeatedly.
From the relative point of view, imperfections are to be seen everywhere. Man's earthly mission is to transmute this disordered condition, this cacophony of man's evolving principles by attuning with the rhythm of the Cosmos--with the dance of Shiva.
To understand the esoteric science of alchemy, it is necessary to elaborate upon the above through discussing briefly the following alchemical themes:
1) The Philosopher's Stone
2) The First Matter
3) The Seed
4) Mercury--Sulphur--Salt
5) The Seven Metals
6) The Universal Panacea
7) Fire

Tae Kwon Do Equipment
When training for tae kwon do there is some equipment that you need to have so that you work out properly. But before you purchase this equipment you have to be in an academy or dojo so that you have an instructor to guide you through the use of the tae kwon do equipment.
It is the most popular martial arts that is available and quite a number of people are practicing it. It originated from Korea and it is the national sport of the South Korean's. It helps you develop your mind, body and soul and it is a good way to get into shape.
When you join an academy or Dojang, you get to learn how to use the different tae kwon do equipment that is necessary for your learning growth. The main focus is striking, especially with high flying kicks. It does not take much to learn this form of martial arts but you have to concentrate and pay attention as well as train everyday.
Tae kwon do usually means the way of the foot but it now means the art of kicking and punching. Usually the sport is used as means of offense rather than defense but it has also been used as a form of self defense. Most of the time the foot is what is in play rather than the fist and that is why some of the tae kwon do equipment involves head gear and body gear as well. It is an Olympic sport which several people enjoy taking part in and watching. Having the right gear when you are training or spurring is important because you do not want to injure any vital organs that can't be replaced.

Developing Inner-Core Strength
I was introduced to the Pilates Method of exercise a few years ago and have since been fascinated with the idea of "core strengthening." The Pilates exercise program consists of a series of movements designed to strengthen the core of your body by working on targeted areas. The exercises tone, reshape and firm you up with a simple yet very effective technique. Investing just 15 minutes a day in the Pilates Method can make a difference in how you feel and relate to your physical body. As a Life/Spiritual Coach, I have been considering ways in which to design a life exercises program that strengthen the inner-core of who we are as individuals from an emotional and spiritual standpoint.
Our inner-core consists of the principles and values by which we live. The more we develop these inner-core strengths, the more we raise our personal awareness and spiritual self-esteem. I believe these two areas of life are related. As we feel good about our personal self, we express the Spirit of Life more fully. When we strengthen our inner core, we have better posture in the way we walk through life. We become more flexible in the way we handle life's situations. We move gracefully through challenges. We base our choices around what we believe, and stay focused on what we know is true.
I learned a lot as I researched Joseph Pilates and I believe his inner-core strength supported him in creating this method of physical exercise. There was a calling in his soul he heard and followed. Before he was 14 years old, he studied anatomy and ancient exercise regimes of the Greeks and Romans. He also studied yoga and Zen meditation. He went to great lengths and made life choices by what was in his heart as he followed his soul's calling. He defined his technique as "complete coordination of body, mind and spirit." The strength of his inner-core guided him in developing the Pilates Method of exercise.
When imprisoned during WWI, Joseph Pilates trained his fellow inmates in his exercises, which helped them to not only survive prison, but a deadly flu epidemic as well. He was then sent to work as a nurse to care for patients who were immobilized by war injuries. While there, he used bed springs and straps hung from the ceiling to teach and develop his program. When asked to train soldiers, he declared his methods were for healing, not harming, and he left Germany. This choice brought him to set up his studio in NYC where he began to train dancers and eventually athletes. Joseph Pilates is a real testimony of someone who allowed his adversity and the strength of his inner-core call him to a higher purpose.
Exercises that strengthen your spiritual and emotional inner-core:
Observe Self-Talk - train yourself to say kind and loving words to yourself.
Contemplate what you believe - create a list of what you know is true.
When asked to make a choice, do so consciously.
Spend 15 minutes a day in quiet inner connection and meditation.

Tips On How To Run A Restaurant Kitchen
Ever wondered what makes a restaurant a rollicking hit with customers? Is it about the gastronomical delights on that spicy menu created with passion and served with tremendous verve? Or does the secret lie in the ambience of the place? What about that tantalizing signature dish? Actually, the ingredients that ensure the roaring success of this sumptuous enterprise lie elsewhere - in the kitchen. Needless to add, it's the heart and soul of the restaurant.
Espirit De Corps At Its Best
It doesn't take too long for a long cherished dream of dishing out delectable delights to turn into a nightmare of sorts. If you're in a soup, and wondering how to run a restaurant kitchen, remember that the success of this venture depends solely on the staff- on their expertise, discipline, motivation, and above all, leadership. It might sound like we're operating a military camp here, but the kitchen too must have an atmosphere that galvanizes each member of the team to give his best while creating an incredible menu.
Advice From The Experts
Here's the perfect recipe for a successful restaurant kitchen:
Dishwasher: It's hard to relish a simply heavenly gourmet meal in an invidiously stained platter or worse, with dirty forks and spoons. The purely physical job of washing dishes is really thankless, but it's also the most important one in the kitchen. Motivation is the key while dealing with the staff involved in this clearly unattractive task. Most chefs have, in fact, made it big from the washing area. Speedy promotions can make all the difference in the employer's attitude.
Preparation cooks: The foundation of the kitchen is based on the manner in which the food is prepared. So the people that are involved in this spade work require more than a standing ovation. From chopping cabbage to making soups and kneading dough, they are always in the thick of things. Make sure they have thorough knowledge of everything, from the store to the operation of the grill and fryer.
Line cooks: They get into the act at different cooking stations that use a plethora of cooking techniques. Line cooks are jacks of all trades, and must master all of them quickly. Training them on all sections is essential. Also, all line cooks must work in tandem in a pre-ordained manner.
Sous chef: He calls the shots when the head chef is not around. Despite being a chef under the wings of the boss, he can still train the rookies. Apart from getting his creative juices flowing, he must plunge headlong into functional aspects like ordering and costing of food, management of stocks etc.
Head chef: He should inspire a great deal of confidence in the other members of the team. With his boundless energy, even a lackluster menu can come alive.
Kitchen manager: Responsible for the efficient functioning of the kitchen, he's more concerned with managing the staff rather than the menu. Make sure he remains focused on promoting productivity and efficiency.
With such remarkable ingredients in place in the kitchen, it's only a matter of time before your restaurant scales dizzying heights.
Meditation Will Assist Hair Nurturing And Growth
Hair loss should be minimal as a person ages over the years. However, that may sound improbable considering the pollution and the number of synthetic agents around us leading to permanent hair loss and damage due to exposure over the years. In the recent past, there is strong stress on the need to maintain the hair in the best of the natural forms. It means putting an end to the use of artificial and synthetic inputs such as shampoo and cosmetic products that are often used to promote hair growth.
These products may be helpful in maintaining the hair, aiding its growth and ensuring density of the hair for a brief period, but over a period of time these products pose a number of unknown risks. They include premature graying of hair, loss of hair, hair fall, dandruff generation, baldness and bleaching of the bald head. A person cannot afford such risks by exposing the gentle head hair to artificial chemicals and compounds. Therefore, it is suggested that the hair is maintained permanently without using any artificial input.
In recent times, one of the better options employed is to go in for meditation. It is always better late than never. Off late, the benefits of meditation are being realized by the people. Meditation has plenty of benefits. It helps the person maintain calm and tranquility, gives a lot of thinking power, can reinvigorate the mind and body and basically get rid of tiredness. Now, it has been also found that meditation can cure a number of physical illnesses. At the same times, meditation can be employed to overcome many other problems such as hair loss and hair fall. In ancient India and Buddhism practitioners, meditation was employed as a means to meet various ends.
Even now, there are many schools that train people in meditation for positive effects. It has been proven that daily meditation of one hour helps a person focus better by adopting peace and harmony in life. It also gives tremendous confidence to a person to overcome various difficulties. In the same tone, hair fall is attributed to not just physical factors, but various others also. For instance, some physicians attribute hair loss to mental pressure at office and home and fatigue. All these can be overcome by practicing meditation daily without fail. One hour of rigorous meditation can put an end to all mental stress and pressure on the human mind. Eventually, it will aid all round development of the human body, including the growth of hair in a natural manner without the intervention of any artificial additions.
The Difference Between Intuition and False Thinking
In a recent article in USA Today, reporter Karen S. Peterson writes about social psychologists and researchers, who claim that their research is geared toward "fortifying intuition, sharpening thinking and deepening wisdom." Stuart Vyse, a psychologist, however, stated that "...it has been shown over and over again that gut reactions are not accurate. It is a mistake to base a decision on a gut feeling." I beg to differ. Intuition, "gut feeling" and "hunches" are often the saving grace to many a soul.
In an article by the Crime Library, "What They Did Last Summer," novelist Lois Duncan (author of "I Know What You Did Last Summer") incurred a tragic, life-altering event when her daughter, 17-year old Kaitlyn was murdered. Using intuition and psychic detective work, the case was subsequently solved.
The difficulty that intuition presents, as Myers points out, is that there are many false prophets who claim to know all and see all; and like any bad apple in the bunch, spoils the whole lot. Many times, it has been this and "gut feeling" that has saved people from many a tragedy.
What makes a complete stranger jump before a racing subway train to save another human being? Recent heroism, like that of Navy veteran Wesley Autrey of NY proved that making a split-second decision to save a convulsing man on the tracks was critical. Some might call that stupidity - others might call it luck; I call that intuition. Mr. Autrey, in response to why he had jumped onto the tracks was, "I did what I felt was right." Had his intuition not taken over at that precise second, the man on the tracks would not be alive today.
What makes a person do incredible human feats? Is it simply "adrenaline;" or is adrenaline part of the "gut feeling" or "sixth sense" that gives us the insight to make strategic plans, and sometimes, lead us down the "right path" in our lives? Another case of intuition...or as some may call it luck...involves a family who decided to take the bus instead of taking the train on a cross-country trip in Germany. The train derailed. Coincidence?
Then there's chains of "coincidences," like the many who decided not to work on the morning of 9/11. Was that mere coincidence or innate perception? Another case of "intuition," involves a young woman who chose to call into work one early Saturday morning. She worked in a sportswear distribution warehouse. On the morning that she was scheduled to work, all the 20+ foot aisles of ton-weight clothing racks toppled like dominoes in the area she would have been working. Gut feeling? Coincidence?
What makes a passerby jump into a lake to save a drowning stranger? Is that simply being a "hero?" No, the commonality of all of these cases is that no one wakes up one morning and says, "Oh, I think I'll be a hero today," or "I think I'll save someone's (or my own) life today." Intuition is likening to that of "EQ" (Emotional Intelligence). Without it, many people would not even survive. These are instinctive emotions and "gut feelings" that are inherent in the human being. The difference between intuition and false thinking is that your ego mind gets in the way and you want something and want an experience that might not be best for you. False thinking is not hearing the truth of your reality and not wanting to live in truth in that moment. Can a hunch prove to not come true absolutely? The key is to look deeper into the feeling of what was really going on and get the lesson behind it. In general, individuals who have clouded their minds with greed and other habitual tendencies may not be able to think clearly; therefore perception becomes just as clouded.
I believe that intuition, as our emotional intelligence, is the driving factor in what makes people succeed in life...draws people to each other in positive relationships...transforms our perception and makes us the best humane and compassionate people we can be; both personally and professionally. The major issue that surrounds it and developing it is not so much that we don't instinctively have intuition; it's the fact that we don't listen to it, or abide by it -- and that's when we end up getting ourselves in a pickle. Intuition, like any other learning module, must be fine-tuned to deliver the best results; whether you use it effectively, well, that's entirely up to you.
Until we speak again...I am

Three Vital Qualities of Ultra-Successful People
I was in trouble and living my life in confusion, complexity, and chaos.
I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. More than anything else, I was looking for a meaningful life, searching for that ultimate satisfaction that would make me live every day with full passion for what I do. Yet every day I felt that I lost a part of my soul.
I kept falling in that downward spiral until I started reading about success and successful people. Only then did I discover three vital qualities that ultra-successful people have - and live by - that make all the difference. These qualities make those successful people move forward with lightning speed and reach levels of success that no one could have ever imagined.
I started applying these qualities and soon effected a complete life transformation - from an ordinary person to a success guru who is helping thousands of people worldwide to create everlasting success.
Now, you may be wondering what these qualities are. You may even think that it must be very hard to adapt them to your own life. But those three qualities are surprisingly simple, and yet extremely powerful. And they hold the key to success in any endeavor.
The first quality is CLARITY.
Successful people are clear about their purpose and what they want to achieve. They know their mission and they work every day to fulfill it. Their thoughts are clear and fresh. And their clarity of purpose brings them a peaceful mind and a passionate heart.
The second quality is SIMPLICITY.
Oh, I can't stress that one enough! Simplicity is the key to power. If you simplify everything - your life, work, needs, environment - you will be amazed at the sense of relief you feel. There is a reason behind that old saying "keep it simple, stupid!" Over complicating your life means you can't think clearly. If you simplify, you will be an ultimately powerful person.
The third quality is FOCUS.
Successful people have laser-like focus. They guard their time and never allow anyone or anything to distract them. They go after their target with determination and their eyes on the prize. They don't get distracted and jump from one opportunity to another. They reach success one step at a time. They give their all to reaching their goal until they achieve it, and then they train their focus on the next goal.
As I often say, focus is what gets things done! True, huh?
To sum up, the reason successful people find their way to the top and achieve massive success is because of their depth and clarity of thought, their ability to simplify the complex, and their laser-like focus.
Adopt these qualities today and you will be armed with three vital qualities that will definitely accelerate your success.
C.S.F. your way to success!
Got it? ;)

I Believe - Life Affirmations To Live By
I Believe...
I believe in personal accountability and that there are consequences for our actions, good and bad. If you can't handle that and teach your children those lessons as well, turn in your membership to adulthood now. I might also suggest you not have any more children since you are obviously still one yourself.
I believe there are certain people that will soothe your soul, but excite the holy heck out of the rest of you. Don't ever settle for less.
I believe that rainy days are entirely necessary and not simply to provide water.
I believe in love. It is however, not a fairy tale or ever perfect...and will not always have a happy ending, TRUE love between two people meant to find each other does exist. Life will intrude and muck it up at times due to circumstances that happened before you met, love them anyway if they are truly "the one". It can work out , even if you can't fathom how at the moment. One thing is certain, you'll never know if you don't try. The future is fluid and uncertain. Don't ever take something rare and special for granted. Never lose a connection with those that matter, even if it's scary or not what you had planned.
You don't get unlimited chances at life. Even if it doesn't work out in the end, you won't have missed out on happiness. You just might be pleasantly surprised..life is meant to be an adventure, not a spectator sport. Never settle for duty and responsibility over possible happiness, even it's messy or complicated..recognize it's worth and value. Life changes as we move through it and so do we all. Adjust and realize everything will be okay, whatever the outcome, even if we make changes...the world will keep spinning.
I believe that whomever decides to schedule major road reconstruction during rush hours on the interstate systems, should be tied naked to their resurfacing equipment and commuters should be issued paintball guns for target practice.
I believe that no matter how close you feel to a person online emotionally, it's not love until you and said person meet, look each other in the eye, talk, laugh and touch. Even then you have to realize some people will not be what you expected. All the more reason it's very important not to rush...some things are meant to be savored and anticipated. If it's real, time will enhance things, not degrade them. If you rush into something, be prepared for the possibility of problems you don't anticipate or failure. It's also a distinct possibility that you will let someone into your life that could be dangerous or bad for you. There IS no hurry for things that are meant to be.I believe that as we age, our metabolism should speed UP, not slow down. I mean, give us "mature" people a break, we've earned it! We're already dealing with wrinkles, bad eyes, joints that betray us, etc. The least the grand design could have done is make it possible to eat anything we want and still fit in our pants.
I believe in manners and chivalry. I like having doors opened for me or to have a man lift heavy items and kill bugs, even when I can do it myself. I like being the female..feminists be damned. They did none of us any favors. Men and women are NOT created equally. We are meant to compliment each others weaknesses, not be the same.
I believe if you love someone, tell them...often...even if you think they already know it, say it anyway. At times, shout it from the rooftops or whisper it when it's unexpected. It's important.
I believe that it's essential to be silly now and then. We all need to let ourselves feel like kids again or to just spout nonsense. As adults, we have to deal with stress and serious issues frequently. MAKE time to just be ridiculous without intent.
I believe that anyone that can make you smile and lighten your mood, when you didn't think you were capable of laughing, is a keeper.
I believe in discretion and not necessarily airing ALL your dirty laundry to anyone with ears or eyes to read it. While it is fine and even necessary so that you won't go nuts to have a core group of those that support you...those to whom you dish the dirt and gory details to everything that makes you angry or hurts you...try to take the high road in public now and then.
I believe in supporting and respecting the office of the President, no matter who is holding the job at the time. It is a thankless job where you can't please anyone long term..one I wouldn't want to subject my private life or family to the scrutiny of. You are free to disagree with their politics, but when you resort to ridiculous name calling or personal attacks on the person themselves holding the office, you've crossed a line. Quite frankly it says a lot more about you and your ignorance, than it does about whatever you're disagreeing with. Intelligent debate is a good thing. Schoolyard bullying is just spectacularly unimpressive.
I believe in Patriotism and our country...in standing up for our rights as Americans without worrying about offending everyone in the world. In the same vein as the comment above, I believe that pride in our country is becoming silenced. It is a crying shame when we are embarrassed to have pride in our own country and be vocal it...much less enforce our own laws that put legal citizens first. If you pay taxes and came into the country the correct, legal way...I'm glad you're here, welcome. Heck, most American families have enough trouble getting their children a break on college tuition or for that matter getting a driver's license without 40 forms of ID and those are the people born here. I believe that laws should be followed and things done the right way.
I believe that English should be our National Language and you have to know it to become a citizen or live here. I'd learn your language if I lived in your country. I believe in flying the Stars and Bars proudly and supporting our military and their families with vigor.
I believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. If we stop believing in things that spark our imagination or in possibilities we can't see...things that bring out our childhood innocence, enthusiasm or excitement, we might as well be dead.
I believe in letting at least one person in your life, know you inside out. Someone you let know all of your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your shortcomings, your concerns, your opinions...without fear of judgment and with total honesty, no walls in place. It takes courage to strip your soul raw with someone else, to put light on all your secret places, but with the right person..it makes all the difference. If you do not have such a person, don't give up until you find them, but don't settle. They, in return...have to open themselves up to you totally as well. It cannot be one-sided.
I believe in learning something new..big or small..each and every day of our lives.
I believe that Political Correctness is a crock of horse dooky. Using tact is fine and even desired in most situations. So is learning to ignore what is said and getting over it. Grow a thicker skin and realize that not everyone is going to like or agree with you. For that matter, just grow the heck up.
I believe in the Golden Rule, treat others as you want to be treated. If others do not follow it in regard to your feelings, move on and find those that will without looking back.
I believe that we should freely allow kickball, dodge ball, and Red Rover on playgrounds across America and in schools. We are doing our children no favors by "teaching" them that if life they will never lose, that they should never have their feelings hurt and if you don't like the game, just quit. That's not real life and it will slap them in the face someday.
I believe that green M & M's taste the best.
I believe that saying "rabbit, rabbit, rabbit" on the first day of each month (It also has to be the first thing you say) will bring luck for the month.
I believe that at times, pasting a smile on your face, even when you don't feel like smiling...will lift your mood and possibly someone else's mood.
I believe in pulling yourself up by your bootstraps and getting a grip. You are allowed a day or two to wallow in self-pity when needed, but after that...it better turn into self-reflection, realistic assessment and in finding a way around whatever obstacle has you down. Quiet time in reflection is fine, constant pity parties are not. No one will ride up on a white horse and rescue you. If they did, they would probably be more like Don Quixote rather than Prince Charming anyway.
I believe in listening to those around you. Take 5 minutes out of your busy schedule to really hear what someone else has to say or what they need to say to another human being. Whether it be the clerk at the store, someone on the train, or a family member or friend...at times just be still and lend an ear. Lend an opinion only when asked...sometimes people just need to talk or vent.
I believe that you will at times be a sucky friend and will take more than you give. Your real friends will understand. They will always be there when you are ready to come back or will bug the crap out of you until you come around...as it should be. Then it will be their turn to implode and YOU get to be the good friend.
I believe in living your life to the fullest. It should be messy, not sedate. Full of energy, both good and bad, but not perfect. It should be full of ups and downs and curves..not a flat drive on an interstate (remember, the interstate is probably full of construction delays anyway *grin*). Live to learn and learn to live is very true. Make mistakes, then learn from them and make new ones.
I believe that Hollywood "role models", male and female...should put on panties (can't pull up your big girl panties if you're not wearing any), cover-up, quit procreating and be locked up away from alcohol, drugs and the media until they grow the heck up. We need to quit glamorizing these people to our children or letting the stars continue to believe we care what they think about politics, parenting or pouting beyond their ability to amuse us on screen. (which they "allow" us to make them rich by paying $10 a pop at the theater to sit through some of their drivel, btw...) You can also include a growing list of athletes that are being a total waste of skin and publicity, despite their natural talent to the list. To squander talent by being a weenie is a shame. You apparently cannot indeed make a silk purse out of a sows ear...or make them fixer-uppers by slapping a thin coat of paint on them, it starts to chip away eventually.
I believe we are made up of what we believe and what we stand for in life. If we are afraid to take a stand or to stand out, even occasionally, then we are taking up space and wasting time. Differences made in small ways are still very important. Not everything in life has to be a grand gesture to matter. The song that says "You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything." is very true.
I believe I've earned my wrinkles and wear them like badges of honor. They mean I've worried (more than I should have at times), I've smiled often..and that I've had many opportunities to love well. They mean that I'm alive and living my life.

The Muscular Size And Power You Can Achieve -- Is Directly Linked To What You BELIEVE
Aspiring mega muscle bodybuilders, please read the following carefully...
Think about those who possess notably big, powerful, muscle packed physiques - and you. Hmmm...what's the difference? Well, responses here frequently include aspects such as genetics, drugs, number of years training, being an "easy gainer", etc.
Perhaps these factors have played a role in structuring the physiques of those standouts you want to be like. But you've been training for a while now yourself, haven't you.
And you've been consistent in your workouts (getting to the gym regularly), haven't you. And you've been training hard, training heavy, and have tenaciously pushed yourself, haven't you. And you've, no doubt, made gains compared to where you were when you began to train, that are both decisive and admirable...haven't you!
Why then aren't you bigger and stronger than you are now? "Uh, well, those other guys take steroids." Maybe they do. But let me tell you, there's a factor as, if not more powerful than drugs, which moves you into realms of increased size and power.
Let me tell you some personal stats here that will surprise and inspire you. First, I do not use steroids. I take a little creatine with apple juice about one hour before each of my workouts. And I have a protein shake after I'm done.
I train intense, heavy, and push myself to the max, every workout. (I've been training like this for 32 years now. Currently, I'm 50 years old, and I do leg presses up to 1,000 pounds for 10 reps. On back days, I work up to barbell rows with 315, dumbbell rows with 200's, and seated cable rows with the stack (300 lbs.).
With traps, I work up to 550 on the bar. Delts - 220 lb. front machine presses, up to 100 lb. single cable laterals. And I finish every chest workout with 130 lb. dumbbell pullovers.
All natural, all "balls to the wall", all conquest intensity/challenging myself to the limit each workout. I'm not as huge as the Mr. Olympia competitors I consult. But I am at a size and power level that provides me an abundance of self respect and esteem. Hey; I've worked my ass off to get where I'm at. And I strive to keep improving upon it. (You can come to World Gym, in Marina Del Rey, between 8:30-10 nightly to see me walking the walk!)
Because of being around the sport for so long now, having written, and published, hundreds of articles on the mind and bodybuilding since 1980, and through personally working with individuals who've gone to win Mr. America, Mr. Universe, Arnold Classic, and Mr. Olympia titles - I can tell you one thing right here. An essential factor which moves someone into the realm of champion is what they honestly, blatantly, subconsciously believe. What they believe? Yes -- what they truly believe in their hearts about:
o How big they can get
o How strong they can get
o How powerful they can become
o How physically commanding and dominant they can become
o How ultimately successful they can become
Let me go deeper into this awareness now, so you'll fully understand what I mean.
Belief Directed Mind Power Fuels The Workout "Machine"
(And What Fuels The "Machine" Determines What It Will Ultimately Produce!)
There are those who'll always look around life (seeing what exists outside of them), and will, by self "assessment" and "reason", determine what they can and cannot have, do, be, acquire, and/or become. They'd really like to drive the sleek new cars, wear the high fashion clothes, and reflect similar accomplishments and successes to those they see on TV, and read about in magazines. But in so many cases, as they think about these things outside themselves they'd like to possess and/or reflect, an interesting thing occurs. They creatively think of all the "justifiable" reasons why they "can't". Instead of thinking about what they could do, pursue, or produce which would enable them to get what they say they want!
Three things are at work here:
1.) Why do they think they're in-capable of reaching or experiencing the realms of increase they say they really want? (Why do they embrace limiting, self compromising beliefs?)
2.) Why do they wait to see what the world around them offers and/or produces (and then become "want seduced" strictly by these creations of others)?
3.) Why, instinctively, don't they consider why they possibly could get/acquire/achieve what they say they want -- and then, fueled by total confident resolve, go about creating and/or actualizing it?
Now, here's the understanding that will either "floor" you - or, serve as a "kick your ass into mega-gear" catalyst converting you into a proactive success force: You will either be one who waits for the world to bring forth new and evolved things - and then position your existing "What I feel is possible" framework in relation to acquiring/producing what is new (and desired). And then, from this contrast, you'll establish your "What I can, and can not " beliefs.
Or (and here's the secret to increased muscular growth, and increase in any area of your life) -- You will begin to look deep into yourself, indeed, deeper into your very soul, and will become a self starter who forges an expanded belief regarding what is possible for you -- and will then invest your full power into this self constructed, new belief, and move to proactively externalize it as demonstrable fact!
Re-Tooling Your Belief System The Champion's Way
Were you born to "can't"? Were you born to "not to"? Are you here to want, but in so very many cases - not have?!
What do you sense those who bring forth the new and evolved (that you then say you want) believe? I can tell you unequivocally, they think in terms of advancing what is, going beyond the current...widening their possibility scope - and then creating the more they believe they can!
They perceive more is possible, and possible for them. They see it clearly in their minds. They give themselves every conceivable reason why they can, are capable of, should, and will either produce, acquire or actualize it. And then, through a compelling faith - through invincible expanded belief - they act, and keep acting, filled with this kind of self and earth moving conviction -- until their belief becomes materialized fact.
No wondering. No "Uh, I don't know's". No "Um; I guess I'll 'try' ". No. Just "Here's what I inwardly see, what I feel, and here's what I believe. And then, targeted creation forcefulness generated to make it r-e-a-l!
I mean, do you think Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler, Gunter Schlierkamp, or Lee Priest put any limits on how big they can get? Or how strong they can become? Or on their ability to use the poundages they know they must to get to the size and power realms they determine they'll reach?
They don't. Neither does any other champion in bodybuilding or life. Sir Edmund Hillary had this expanded belief when he conquered Mount Everest. Howard Schultz had this expanded belief when, despite continual negative external commentary, he went on to found Starbucks Coffee. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lee Haney, Dorian Yates, and Ronnie Coleman all had (Coleman still does) this expanded belief - which drove them year after year to keep growing and improving in their pursuit to win Mr. Olympia numerous times (which they all did).
Where's Your Belief Regarding What You Can Physically Become?
So, just what do you believe regarding how big you can get? How powerful you can become? Indeed, how successful you can become in your bodybuilding efforts?
And if these beliefs are not inspiring, and progress/triumph suggestive - why do you embrace them? Indeed, why do you have and entertain them at all? (Are they, in fact, even "yours" -- truly self determined, self established, self legislated by you, of you, and for you? Hmmm...probably not!)
"Yeah, Pete, but the people you just cited are all monster individual success stories; I'm just 'me'." Exactly my point. Huh? Yeah -- at one time they were just 'ordinary" people with dreams and aspirations. But what separated them from the others, verily, what compelled them to the heralded levels they reached lay within what they believed, and how they believed. And because they believed!
Belief is your choice. Belief is your responsibility. Belief is your personal commitment - to you - to move yourself toward a greater, more substantive and more successful life.
If you keep it in check and constricted, your body, and life, will reflect it. If you expand it (and in a moment I'll show you how to do this), you'll clearly come to grow and advance.
And, you can think of all the reasons you want as to why something "can't", or you "can't". But new, expanded belief poignantly, demonstrably overcomes it all. Just ask little shepherd boy David what he believed before he went on to kick Goliath's ass!
You taking a 16" arm to 17". Or, 17" to 18". Or, 18" to 19" follows suit. So does , for example, coming to bench more, building more massive delts, lats, pecs, and quads -- and coming to forge the thickly chiseled muscle and power you've been holding in the back of your mind as what you really ultimately "hope for" (i.e., want) from your training. Literally, what you believe - you become!
Expanding Your Bodybuilding Belief Threshold
(The Mental State That Compels Increased Training Intensity And Growth)
Now we'll work on expanding your bodybuilding belief regarding what's possible for you, size and strength wise. This is so you don't limit yourself. And the most, and best, you're truly capable of is, ever more-so, accessed and brought forth.
Can you become bigger and stronger than you now are? Well, you already know the answer is yes.
And so, before we get into the specific muscular belief/inner power expanding process I have for you, let me first discuss the concept of belief momentum. Once you experience that you can produce an increase related result, you naturally broaden your belief with the awareness that what you either didn't know was possible, or never before experienced...nowIS possible. Then, your mind instinctively "says" - "Interesting...if I did that, then I can go even BEYOND that."
Then, your belief expands even more, and you begin focusing on a realm even beyond what you just experienced and produced. Then, you tenaciously act toward, and reach this level. And the "belief broadening awareness" process, which then naturally focuses on even greater success (and the actions you can take to actualize it), continues.
This belief momentum has bearing within any process of increase - whether it's making money, generating peak athletic performance, personal production levels, or building a powerful, thickly muscled, standout physique.
It only stops when you "determine" that's all there can be, or is, for you. Let me tell you from almost three decades as the country's leading peak performance hypnotherapist -- you never hit your ultimate potential. All you do is actualize and unfold more of it as you continue to expand your belief, and embrace the consummate, tenacious faith that your committed efforts will come to materialize the more you determine is possible!
The "Pushin' Your Belief Into New Growth Inducing Realms" Process
[*First, thoughtfully read through this 8 step process in its entirety. Then, apply it exactly as outlined.]
Step #1: Perceptual Contrast
In your home, preferably in the evening after you've completed your major activities, do the following: Decide upon the body part you really want to increase and improve (i.e., chest? lats? delts? triceps? biceps? calves? quads? etc.)
Focus upon one explicit body part, so all your mental energy can be lasered upon, and into it. This may be a part that's lagging, or one you just "can't seem to" measurably increase. Or one you've "given up on" as ever coming to be a truly superior aspect of your overall physique.
Next, having determined which body part you'll focus upon improving, lie comfortably upon your back on either your couch or bed, and take 3 l-o-n-g, d-e-e-p breaths...inhaling deeply through your nostrils, and exhaling easily through your mouth.
Now, to the best of your ability I want you to first graphically envision, and f-e-e-l this muscle in its current dimension. Then, I want you to mentally expand it (feeling this occuring as well) to a level beyond where it is now...and into a realm you decide dly know is possible for you to produce (i.e., 17" biceps to 17 ¼", 17 ¼" to 17 ½", etc.).
Vividly experience (and feel) yourself possessing this increased muscular size. And visualize a tape measure clearly indicating you posessing this more.
Step #2: Visualize The Workout Effort You Know Will Produce This Experience Of More
Now, shift your attention to you working out at your gym. And I want you to mentally, graphically perform one set of two different exercises you'll be doing to actualize your expanded belief.
For example, continuing on with increasing your biceps, you'd visualize standing barbell curls, or preacher curls, or incline dumbbell curls, etc.
Once you decide upon the two exercises you'll mentally engage, imaginatively step into the workout scenario, begin your set, and thoroughly f-e-e-l yourself performing each tenacious, locked in, purposefully feverish rep of each set. (Really mentally crank out each rep with total, isolated, success compelled intensity!)
Don't be surprised to find your heart rate, body temperature and breathing rate magnify as you get deeply into this "training geared toward actualizing your expanded belief ".
Then, after you've envisioned yourself mentally performing both sets (as outlined), let yourself feel the intense flush of blood - and the burn - your lasered effort produced in the muscle you mentally "trained".
Step #3: Self Convincing: Giving Yourself The Reasons Why It's Possible...And Possible For You
Now, having completed Steps 1 and 2, I want you to direct your thinking so you're giving yourself every reason you can as to why what you just mentally experienced is possible, and possible for you.
For example, you might want to use notions such as:
o When I've trained "mega-steel" hard, I've gotten noticeable results; as I continue training fiercely hard, I'll continue getting results!
o If I truly believe something is possible for me - and fully set my mind to it...I can - and will - make it fact!
o When I'm seriously motivated, and confident success can happen for me, I feverishly work in the way I must - for as long as I must - until it does!
o When I eat right, train warrior tenaciously, and invest my whole mind into getting bigger, stronger, and more commanding - I make my body grow. I can, and will do the exact same thing...Now!
You can use the notions I've related, or compose your own. Remember: Give yourself every reason you can as to why it's fully possible for you to create, and bring forth, this increased muscular dimension.
Step #4: Subconsciously "Ingest" The Expanded Belief Triumph Affirmation
Now, firmly say to yourself (and mean it) "I choose what I believe. I determine what's possible for me. And the more I've just envisioned and experienced is the very truth I now direct my workout efforts to decidedly unfold!"
[*Next, to return back to your full conscious awareness...feel the backs of your arms, legs, torso and head upon the mattress or cushions beneath you. Then, just easily let your eyelids open. Inhale deeply. And s-t-r-e-t-c-h. Then, go on to engage your next planned activity.]
Step #5: Committed Action Follow Through
Now, you become conscious of upholding your expanded belief (regarding the body part you've chosen to increase) when you work out. And you see, and think of it this new way. And you train, every set, the intense way you visualized. And you mentally exclaim your triumph affirmation before, and after, each workout. And you stay in this mental/conviction zone until you come to physically experience your expanded belief has become a muscular fact!
And I guarantee you, if you stay with Steps #1-5 as I've outlined them, you will come to experience your new belief as actualized fact. And you'll then start enjoying, the exceedingly positive impact of belief momentum.
The Reinforcement
Stay with using Steps #1-5 regularly, until physically, you conclusively reflect your new, expanded belief. This means you set aside time each day to mentally condition yourself to grow (as I've outlined).
If you're serious about wanting more, you'll engage this process eagerly, and regularly. Why? Because you'll realize you have the missing link now to blowing by self imposed, limiting beliefs.
Remember: what you truly believe, you will truly become!
Kabbalah and the Tree of Life
The poem The Tree of Life was written by a great 16th century Kabbalist, Isaac Luria (also known as the Ari) to show us the origins of our existence. It begins:
Behold, that before the emanations were emanated and the creatures were created,
The upper simple Light had filled the whole existence.
And there was no vacancy, such as an empty atmosphere, a hollow, or a pit,
But all was filled with simple, boundless Light.
In the midst of this Light, the thought of creation appeared. It was the epitome of a mother's womb, and the Light surrounded the fetus with warmth and nourishment, providing for all its needs. Kabbalah teaches us that we began our journey in this womb as one united soul called Adam HaRishon, or "first man."
In the perfection of the Light, we were united as one soul, but like a fetus, the soul was unaware of its own existence or the process it was undergoing. In order to advance from this state of unawareness, Adam HaRishon had to pass through several spiritual states until it reached a point where the soul could experience its own existence and a desire for the Light. Along the way, a breaking occurred which Kabbalists refer to as "the breaking of the vessels."
Through this shattering, the soul split into individual sparks which became detached from the Source of Light and abundance. Just as light can only be appreciated if you know darkness, the soul could only appreciate the abundance surrounding it by first experiencing scarcity. For this to happen, the Light had to be concealed from the soul. Each tiny fragment of the soul began to sense itself as separate and unique: a person. This detachment from our Source and from each other, or the absence of Light within each soul, is what we feel as "this world."
We fell into this world, but this was not the end. We kept on falling. For thousands of years, our sense of isolation and egoism grew. We suffered and cried out from the pain. When it became unbearable, the cry formed into a question: Why? What is the purpose of our existence, our suffering, our life? When asked in full earnestness, the question awakens a single "point in the heart," a point that had lain dormant for all those years that had gone before. This point remembers the abundance of the Light and longs to reconnect with all the other sparks and return back to its Source.
Thus the quest begins, but the road to return is not easy. It involves personal struggle, revelation of the true nature of the soul. On one hand, we experience the desires and motivations of this world, which is all we know. On the other hand, there is this elusive pull of the point in the heart, which tells us that this is all a dream, and that there is something much greater available to us. If we allow that point in the heart to pull us forward and upward, we begin to get glimpses of the abundance that awaits.
Using these glimpses to drive us onward, we climb the ladder of life, returning through the exact same path by which we descended. Through these remembrances of our previous states, one begins to understand that the descent was there for the purpose of ascent. From this perspective, this world is only a stepping stone for the soul in the world to come.
So, if you have that yearning, the desire for answers to the deeper meaning of your life, Kabbalah can help you see that it's because you are more than your body. We are all more than our bodies. We are a collective piece of one soul, and deep down we yearn for that connection. It is through reconnecting with each other while we live in this corporeal existence that we attract the Light that moves us back to our Source. Through this process, we begin to experience the abundance of beauty, joy and love intended for us.

Your Focus Becomes Your Reality
Have you done a reality checked lately on the current condition of your life? Are you blessed, happy, or depressed, hopeless and in despair? What you choose to focus on will become your reality. To be blessed means to be happy, to be fortunate, or to be envied. Perhaps you are one of those people who are on the journey to experiencing your best life ever. However, we are surrounded by people everyday, including
some of us who are not enjoying this precious gift of life. Some may equate being blessed or happy to mean that they have achieved all their material possessions or luxuries. While those things can contribute to life's pleasure, it is not what defines a blessed life. There are those who have all the material possessions one could dream of, but have miserable lives with out hope or vision for the future.
God's desire is that we prosper, be in health even as our soul prospers (3John 2). We can live a life of abundance and happiness, but why don't we? What is the difference? The difference is our focus, our attitudes, and thoughts. Our thoughts eventually become our actions and what we focus on becomes our reality. If you are not happy with the reality of your current circumstance, it's time to you change your focus or refocus. The definition of focus is: a central point, as of attraction, attention; the core, the heart.
Life constantly throws choices at you everyday and whatever choices you make are seeds that will shape your future. Make no mistake, you are your choices. The law of gravity says, whatever goes up, must come down. This is also true, for every cause, there is an effect. To every action, there is a reaction. Whatever you sow, you will reap. These are laws or principals set in motion, a universal law regardless if you are black or white, rich or poor, Christian or non-Christian. If you sow negative thoughts everyday, and speak pessimistically over your situation, you will experience negative outcomes.
Have you ever been around someone who rarely ever has anything positive to say? If they can't complain about the weather, they'll grumble about their weight, if that's not enough, they'll murmur about their spouse, or kids and so forth. They will start to blame everyone and everything for why they are they way they are. Their parents abandoned them, their friends betrayed them, and they never get beyond these negative experiences. Instead they wallow in their sorrow and come to believe that life dealt them a bad hand and that this is their fate. This is not intended to be unsympathetic for those who have had horrible upbringings. If that was you, there is hope for a bright and blessed future.
Consider Viktor Frankl, a Holocaust survivor; one cannot imagine what he had to endure, but has lived to tell how he was able to survive the inhumane concentration camps. His focus and his attitude allowed him to endure the darkest moments of his life. Mr. Frankl quotes, "The last of human freedoms, the ability to choose one's attitude in a given set of circumstances." Regardless of what you are going through or have gone through, you have the freedom to choose your attitude. Your attitude will determine your altitude in life. Your circumstances do not dictate your fate, your choices do.
I would like to illustrate a couple of choices that were made by two individuals that altered the course of their lives forever. One renowned individual named Walt Disney, must we say more about what his name represents in the world today? We hear Walt Disney, and we instantly see Mickey Mouse or Walt Disney World's theme park in our minds. The truth is, Walt Disney was not a success over night. Perhaps you have not heard the story behind his name. Walt and his brothers experienced physical abuse by their father growing up. In order to fulfill void and emptiness during this time in his life, Walt would draw imaginary characters to pass time.
He started a business out of his uncle's garage when he was eighteen years old, creating a cartoon character named "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit" and sold the animation to Universal Studios. These cartoons were a hit in that era. By selling the character, Walt did not realize that he also signed away ownership of his creation. When it was time to renew his contract, Universal Studios proclaimed their rights to the cartoon and declined to renew Walt's contract. Can you imagine? This was his livelihood, his big break-so he thought! Not only did he give away his hard work, but he is now jobless! What could possibly be in store for young Walt? I am sure he went through feelings of betrayal, discouragement, and hopelessness to name a few. But would Walt be Walt Disney World today, if he lamented in his situation for long?
Walt Disney had to refocus; he went back to the drawing board. He remembered drawing in his uncle's garage as mice surrounded him, running around all over his desk while he was working. He was so lonely that he even thought of these little creatures as his friends. He even put one of them in a cage near his work space and named him Mickey, thus the Mickey Mouse cartoon was born and the rest was history! This was evident that Walt didn't allow this negative situation that he experienced to be the center of his focus or at least not for long. It's obvious he made a decision to turn his lemon into lemonade and what he chose to do next with his focus eventually became his reality, and changed the lives of millions of kids all over the globe. There are hundreds of other similar real life stories of how others have turned their tragedies into triumphs resulting in blessed, happy, and fortunate lives; leaving a legacy and inspiring others that they too, can rise above their negative circumstances no matter how bad the situation is.
Sadly, my next story of how one's focus becomes reality is tragic. I once read about group of men who worked together on a train and were dismissed early one day. One of the men was usually a worry wart and always feared many things. On this day, as the workers left for the day, this man accidentally got locked in a freezer of the train he worked on. He immediately began to have thoughts of freezing to death so he began to write letters to his family. At one point, he wrote that he couldn't write anymore because his fingers were getting numb from freezing. When he was discovered by co-workers in the morning, he was dead. Autopsies had revealed that he indeed froze to death, but they also discovered that the temperature in the freezer was just less than sixty degrees Fahrenheit! How could it be that this man froze to death when the temperature never dropped to freezing? Could it be that his focus ultimately became his reality deciding his fate?
We all hear it over and over. Worry will kill you and what you think is what you will become. Your thoughts, your focus, and your attitude have the power to create your surroundings and change your situation whether for good or bad. What you choose to focus on will become your reality. Change your focus and change your life! Remember, "For as a man thinks within himself, so he is (Proverbs 23:7).

How Thoughts Become Things
I have been enjoying my holiday today, and I have spent a large portion of it reading my favorite bloggers. I discovered a few new ones today, so I have been inspired to write about how our thoughts become things.
Thanks to the brilliant insights of Robin, a friend of mine whose link I am not allowed to have here, (but if you e-mail me I will gladly give you her web address... lol) I was reminded of the importance of really being aware of my thinking.
I often speak about world peace. It is my loftiest dream and seemingly the most futile. At the same time, I recognize the fact that I alone do not have the power of mind to single-handedly create world peace. I like to think I can do anything... but for today, I humbly admit that world peace is a collective effort. So what are we waiting for?
Maybe the term "waiting" is a little off the mark, but sometimes the things I desire most tend to take a little while before showing up. Have you noticed? Actually, there are also times when I think something and for whatever reason, poof! -- there it is. These events, however, are usually related to parking spaces :-)
So, as I was thinking about thinking, I was reminded of a term used by Esther Hicks when discussing the delayed manifestation of a given desire. She calls this effect "the buffer of time." What she is describing is the space between the thought and the thought becoming the thing. Stay with me here, this is good stuff.
This idea really helps me to have patience, and it is rather beneficial to us as humans at this juncture in our evolution when you stop to think about it. (It will be interesting to read this back and count the number of times I use the word think.) When I think something, or wish for, or pray for anything, there is the reality that we exist within the spacetime continuum. It can make me nuts when I have to wait for the money or the phone call or the lottery results, and I am ok with that. The truth is, I understand the benefit of the delay between the thought and the thought becoming the thing. I'm sure none of us would like the hateful thought we had toward our friend or spouse to immediately become reality, would we?
If I have the power of mind to push my thought beyond time and space but my thought isn't pure, I am in trouble. Do you get my drift? I am thankful that I don't get instant results with each thought. At the same time, that awareness aids me in becoming the master of my thoughts I can't always control my thoughts and that is not really my aim as much as it is to improve my thoughts... especially my thoughts about others. I don't want to inflict pain on someone by thinking something about them that could, in fact, do just that. I want to think good thoughts about everyone. It is a goal, not a reality so let me be blunt.
Watch what you're thinking! There will come a day when we will collectively possess the power to create anything we want, just by thinking it. We are in this physical plane of existence to work that fact out in our minds now in order to improve the state of our world later. If we all truly wanted world peace, we would already have it in our present reality. The fact that we do not, speaks to the way many of us think. I actually know people who are "praying" for the end of the world. Ouch! Sort of shortsighted if you are actually praying for the end of the world. Maybe you should concentrate on what is happening in your world if you're so ready to pop out. I like it here, and I know my work is not done.
May you monitor your thoughts lovingly, without judgement. May you reflect on your thinking and simply improve the thought that you are not pleased with, again without judgement. And may you come to understand that what you think about others, even though they may not be aware that you are thinking of them, must become a thought created in love. It will help me in my quest to see this world enveloped in peace, and it will help you in creating thoughts that become good things.
Peace in your world, love in your life, and pure thoughts in your mind. -- jb
I would like to hear what you think about thinking, so drop me a line and let's get the peace train rolling. Thanks for reading.
Heaven on Earth
I firmly believe that travel enhance one's horizon. I always look for the opportunity to undertake travel to visit new places. Two years back when I decided to go to my hometown in Tamil Nadu I decided to visit ooty as I realized that though I was in Tamil Nadu for so many years, I did not get an opportunity to visit Ooty.
I immediately booked my accommodation before I booked train tickets for the journey. I came to know that they were two mode of travel to reach Ooty. One from Coimbatore by road and it will take me to Ooty in one hour. The other is from Mettupalayam by train. It will take me to Ooty by four and half hours. I decided to take train journey despite its long running hours. After getting down at Mettupalayam I boarded the Ooty train.
The very appearance of the mini train enthralled me. When the train started, the speed was just better than our walking speed. But after one hour travel, I realized that it must be the best way to reach Ooty. Yes if you want to explore the Nilgiri Hills, you must travel by this train. It crossed through 16 tunnels and 250 bridges. View from the train was really breathtaking.
A British couple, who are also travelling with me in the same compartment and were enjoying every moment and often got exited, I engaged a conversation with them. They told me that though they have visited some of the best places, it is really a unique experience for us and it will be etched in our memory for a long. They also told me that it is really a technological marvel and you have to thank British for this. After hearing this comment I was shocked as I felt that they had hurt my national pride, but after few seconds I realized that the truth in their statement. Yes, we have to be thankful to the British for the entire railway network in India.
The train stopped for a while at Coonnoor. I just alighted from the train to enjoy its coolness. The ambience, climate and its greenery refreshed our soul and mind. When I got down from the train at Ooty, I immediately felt the purity of the air. It was invigorating. I was completely enchanted by the scenic beauty. Spending my time in botanical garden was the best way to commune with the nature. A stroll on the roads of Ooty while drizzling will stimulate you. The view of tea gardens is a real feast to your eyes. You would never want to come back if you visit the Rose Garden. Doddabeta will certainly give you a chance to touch the clouds. After spending three days in Ooty, I realized that I got a much needed reprieve from dust and pollution. Though I visited few hill stations, undoubtedly Ooty is the best I have ever seen. Unfortunately I can not quit my job; otherwise I would prefer to spend rest of my life by exploring this blue mountain.

Our Capacity to Love
Light Orbs and Our Capacity to Love
A few days ago, in the middle of a conversation I was having with someone, the Light Orbs jumped in and they said into my mind, "We are not only the Guardians of Your Soul, we are the Guardians of Your Love." I thought that was beautiful and a little bit mysterious at the moment. Later on, I asked them if they could clarify for me what they meant by that. What they said was that they are actually the Guardians of our capacity to love.
So I asked if it would be possible for them to speak tonight so that you could hear them speak through me about this capacity to love, about what they see and why they feel that they are guarding it with us and for us. They jumped at the idea. They thought that was marvelous.
So what I am going to do for the next few minutes here is allow them to speak to you in your heart and because they don't have a heart like we do, they come to you totally open, absolutely vulnerable. I ask you to open your heart also to their words, to their frequency, to their vibration and allow yourself to feel the embodiment of their emanation.
"So, you want love, do you? We laugh and we giggle because you say so much that you want this as though it is something that is going to come to you, as if you could chase after it like a train. You know, the train is going down the track and you are thinking that you are late and you are running and running and running trying to get on the train. You are saying, 'That's the love, that's the love that I want and I need' and we are saying to you, 'Let the train go. You ARE the love that you need.'
"You know, we often tell the transmitter that we are the Emanations from The Eminence. That is what we like to see ourselves AS, The Eminence being All That Is, the Source, and in the emanation is only love. Well, we are no different than you. You, also, are Emanations from The Eminence. There is nothing else. So the very vibrancy of you, the very material of your physical bodies, not only your spiritual bodies and your emotional bodies, etc. are this fabric of love.
"So, you might say, 'Oh, this all sounds wonderful. We have heard it so many times before.' I want you to stop right now and I want you to ask yourself, 'What are you thinking about this very minute?' Stop. Stop the video if you want. Push the pause button and ask yourself, 'What are you thinking of in this moment while you are listening to? While you have the option of the word "love as" by nature, that most are not even see and hear? "
"You think, lunch, dinner, children, work, play, TV tonight, to pay the bills, take care of guides and then say," But all I really want is love. "And you do not think so. They are pursuing above all else. They are not like looking for places where you give your broadcast every minute of everyday. So how can you say that it is so important?
"If it is the most important part of your life, if that is true, and so many of you tell us, you know, that this is true, then why is it not the only thing that you think about? Why do so many other things take place within your life that totally distract you from this love that you wish so much? And most often when you say that you wish the love, you wish it to come to you. You want to have it. It's like eating something, you know. You want to swallow and chew. And in fact, what we say is that you must proceed as we do.
"Why do you think people like us so much, why do you think that people are so excited to see the ball?" And we are in pictures and to enter the premises and we are in different sizes and different colors and, oh my God mine is so exciting. If you take all of this, all the phenomena, what people experience when we are absent? There vibration of our love.We know our vibrancy. We are our vibrancy. That is all you see in us. You see nothing else. And what are we doing? We are showing you YOU and we are telling you, you can be this. You can experience this but first, you have to give it out because it is your frequency.
"You know the wavelength that you are; the frequency that you are? How you move? How you vibrate? It is love. It is a desire for the very best, not only for yourself but for all living creatures, all manifestation. And to be able to do this, you have to love you first. Many people talk about this. Many humans talk about loving yourself first above all other things. And we are saying to you, if you do not do that, you cannot say that you love Source because you ARE Source. You are the Emanation. The Eminence is not something that is out there away from you. It is you in the stream. It is you flowing with the love emanation that IS you for everyone including yourself first because it is coming from you so it is inside of you. It is as though you could turn yourself inside out, you see; crawl inside of yourself like a vortex of energy and say, 'Ooh, I can cuddle up in my own love because that IS what I AM.'
"So while you are thinking about this desiring of the love and wanting it and wanting to feel it and wanting to find the soul mate and the twin flame of you, we are asking you first of all to find the soul mating with yourself in the love that we know is you. Otherwise, we Would not even appear here. So when we say we love your ability to see, is what we do. It's not like we are shoring up or protect them from anything. We just have to keep the potential of it with you as if you and in you when you wake up to the fact that it is there and they begin to want to operate from its current location, then we can say, "Ah, you've decided your treasure. We can not longer take care of your treasure. Now we can go out and play with other beingsbecause you have decided that you will unbury your treasure.' And you will let your treasure shine and give it to everyone that comes into your environment.
"So that is why we said we are the Guardians of your capacity to love because your capacity is your greatest gift and it is not anything that you can lose and it is something that you have to look for to find often when you are distracted by all the day-to-day goings and comings.
"So we want to thank you for letting us speak to you tonight. And we are looking forward to see what you do with this treasure; how you take the top off of the treasure box and you let the light of it shine out. You will us and you will see us brighter, you see, because we will fluoresce with that light and we will shine in your life even more. So for now, we say goodnight and we ask you to keep your eye out for us. We are always there. We are shining for you. We WILL guard your light and we will hold it for you always in its perfection as The enactment of the Cardinal. Thank you.
